On Sunday, October 24th, the St. Joseph School community gathered for one of their favorite events: Trunk or Treat! The event was organized by the SJS Home and School Association (HSA). The group aims to direct and coordinate parental support for St. Joseph School through educational activities, religious and social functions. Blessed with a sunny day and unseasonably warm weather, teachers, students, and parents gathered for fellowship and fun in the schoolyard. Students in Grades Pre-K – Grade 8 were encouraged to attend and were not disappointed when they arrived. The schoolyard was filled with over forty skillfully decorated vehicles that created a festive and spooky atmosphere. In addition, the drivers of those vehicles distributed lots of candy and treats to the “Trunk or Treaters.” Thank you to Chairpersons Jennifer Barbosa, Megan Belanger, and Kristen Krajcik for organizing the event. The event was canceled last year due to the pandemic, so the HSA worked diligently to provide a safe and fun event. Students and families are already making plans for next year’s “trunks.” St. Joseph School would also like to thank Price Chopper Supermarkets for supporting the event.
