On Friday, September 20th, The Harlem Wizards visited St. Joseph School and were greeted by a capacity crowd in the Richard A. Nowak Gymnasium. Fans who attended the game witnessed amazing basketball talent combined with hilarious comedy.
The Harlem Wizards have a unique mission: create awe-inspiring, family friendly events throughout the country, and they did not disappoint on Friday night! The crowd of students, parents, grandparents and members of the local community became more than just spectators, they were part of the show! Loads of audience participation contributed to the fun, as well as the effort put forth by the St. Joseph School faculty and staff “All Stars” who took to the court to challenge the high-flying team. Throughout the game, fans experienced a magical display of tricks, coordinated ball handling, fancy passing, and aerodynamic athleticism combined with high-energy comedy and audience interaction. The event culminated with the Harlem Wizards’ famous dance party. As the gymnasium pulsated with music and cheers, the two teams and all of the fans, took to the court to end the evening dancing to their favorite songs. Everyone left with smiles on their faces!
The event benefited the students of St. Joseph School. Event sponsors included ELS Communications and Euro KK Limousine & Tuxedo. St. Joseph School would like to thank everyone who attended the game and participated in the fun! We look forward to welcoming the Harlem Wizards back to the school again in the future.
