The week of March 2nd was a fun time for the students of Saint Joseph School because they celebrated the birthday of children’s author, Dr. Seuss.  Monday morning kicked-off with students dressed in green in honor of the classic Seuss book, Green Eggs & Ham. Buddy classes gathered throughout the day so older students could read to their younger friends.  Other daily themes based on Seuss books included Wacky Wednesday where students had the opportunity to wear crazy hair or hats, Fox in Socks so students could show off their crazy socks, and One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish where students dressed in red and blue.

Additional activities included a guessing contest sponsored by the Home and School Association as well as fun desserts such as strawberry and banana Cat in the Hat hats created by the St. Joseph School kitchen staff.  The students who guessed the closest amounts of golf fish, Lorax cheese curls, and gum drops without going over were:  6th Grade student Hannah Watson – golf fish, 4th Grade student Alan Kulpa – Lorax cheese curls, and 5th Grade student Gianna Rosario and 2nd Grade student Hayley Benes (tied) – gum drops.  Congratulations!
