St. Joseph School is proud to announce that artwork created by three of our students has advanced to the district level in the Lion’s Club International Peace Poster Contest. Grade 6 student Aleksandra Kurowski, Grade 7 student Maya Podskarbi, and Grade 8 student Kai Lukasek were selected for their creations depicting the “Journey of Peace.” The goal of the Peace Poster Contest is to allow children in schools and youth groups everywhere to express their visions of peace and inspire the world through their art. Dr. John Kalinowski, a member of the Webster Lion’s Club, visited the school to notify the winners and posed for pictures with the students and Principal, Mr. Michael Hackenson.
