St. Joseph School is proud to announce that artwork created by three of our students has advanced to the district level in the Lion’s Club International Peace Poster Contest.  Grade 6 student Leah Boudreau, Grade 7 student Matthew Obrycki, and Grade 8 student Lauren Gingo were selected for their creations depicting “Peace through Service.”  The goal of the Peace Poster Contest is to allow children in schools and youth groups everywhere to express their visions of peace through their art.  Members of the Lion’s Club are an example to the world that, through service, everyone can give and receive so much joy, kindness, hope, and peace.  This year, students’ inspirations were created through the lens of service. Dr. John Kalinowski, a member of the Webster Lion’s Club, visited the school to notify the winners and posed for pictures with the students.  Congratulations, students!
