As we are aware, Festival48 is canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Festival raises significant funds for St. Joseph School and the proceeds directly benefit our students. Therefore, like last year, we will hold a Virtual Giving Event on Father’s Day Weekend – the three days that would have been Festival48 so the school can maintain its high standard of education by providing a well-rounded curriculum to our students.
The goal of our Festival, Food, Family, and Fund 2021 fundraiser is to raise $20,000; the amount needed to upgrade our Social Studies curriculum for our Kindergarten through 8th-grade students. Social Studies is the integrated study of multiples fields of social science and the humanities including history, geography, and political science. By upgrading our Social Studies curriculum and integrating faith and Gospel values into a St. Joseph School education, we will help our students develop the ability to make informed, reasoned, and moral decisions for the public good. We believe this is especially important and a much-needed part of the St. Joseph School experience and the foundation we provide our students.
Although we realize that this may be a difficult time for many, we ask that you consider donating the amount you would have spent at Festival48 to The Fund for St. Joseph School. This amount may be as little as $15 – the cost of a Polish Platter. Any amount – large or small – assists in sustaining the educational ministry of St. Joseph School.
Donations may be dropped in the baskets at church or mailed to St. Joseph School, 47 Whitcomb Street, Webster, MA 01570. Please include your name, address, and phone number. In addition, donations may be made with a credit card online at donate.sjs-webster.com. By donating online, you may customize your donation or spread it over three months. Please contact Beth Boudreau at 508-943-0378 or email bboudreau@sjs-webster.com with questions.
The Festival is synonymous with great food and fond memories of time spent with friends and family. Although we cannot gather this year, we can still support our school community by donating to The Fund for St. Joseph School. The students, faculty, and staff of St. Joseph School you and your loved ones good health, and God’s blessings. Thank you for your prayers and generosity.
