As we are aware, Festival47 is cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.  In addition, the Casino Night Fundraising Event scheduled for earlier this month was also cancelled.  These two events raise significant funds for St. Joseph School and their proceeds directly benefit our students.  So that the school can maintain its high standard of education by providing a well-rounded curriculum to our students, we will be holding a Giving Event on Father’s Day Weekend – over the three days that would have been Festival47.

Our theme is:  Festival, Food, Family, and Fund.  The goal of this fundraiser is to earmark donations that are made to The Fund for St. Joseph School for our music program and art supplies.  It has been proven that exposure to music and art enhances language and reading skills, as well as improves creativity, critical thinking, social experiences, and confidence in children.  We believe that this is especially important and a much-needed part of The St. Joseph School experience and the foundation which we provide our students.

Although we realize that this may be a difficult time for many, we ask that you consider donating to The Fund for St. Joseph School the amount that you would have spent at Festival47.  This amount may be as little as $15 – the cost of a Polish Platter.  Any amount – large or small – assists in sustaining the educational ministry of St. Joseph School.

We appreciate that many parishioners, alumni, and parents donated to The Fund in December and those donations helped to support the operational costs of the school.  Due to the uncertainty we are facing with respect to the 2020-2021 academic year and additional costs associated with COVID-19, we are working to secure the necessary funds to maintain the level of education expected at St. Joseph School.

Donations may be dropped in the baskets at church or mailed to St. Joseph School, 47 Whitcomb Street, Webster, MA 01570.  Please include your name, address, and phone number.  In addition, donations may be made online at donate.sjs-webster.com with a credit card.  By donating online, you may customize your donation or spread it out over three months.  Our goal over Father’s Day weekend is to raise $15,000, which is the amount needed to provide music to ALL St. Joseph School students and their required art supplies for the year.

The Festival is synonymous with great food and fond memories of time spent with friends and family.  Although we cannot gather this year, we can still support our school community through The Fund for St. Joseph School.  Thank you for your prayers and generosity. The students, faculty, and staff of St. Joseph School pray each day for an end to this pandemic and wish you good health and God’s blessings.
