Congratulations to Noah Boudreau, a member of St. Joseph School’s Class of 2015 for his recent success in the SkillsUSA state and national competitions. “SkillsUSA empowers its members to become world-class workers, leaders and responsible American citizens; improves the quality of our nation’s future skilled workforce through the development of Framework skills that include personal, workplace and technical skills grounded in academics; and, offers many opportunities for growth through competitions.” Noah, along with his Blackstone Regional Vocational Technical High School teammates Andrew Regan and Kevin Healy, designed and built a functioning model of a dynamic fire and hazard evacuation smart system to be used in schools, health centers, and commercial buildings. Noah and his teammates received gold medals at the state competition and moved on to represent Massachusetts in the National SkillsUSA competition in Louisville, KY where they placed ninth. They are currently working to patent their product. Congratulations, Noah!
