On Thursday, October 5th, Saint Joseph School students, faculty, and staff gathered in the Nowak Gymnasium to celebrate September accomplishments and enjoy a friendly competition. In addition, every student with a September birthday received a new book from the school. September birthdays include Olivia Perry, Grayson Dollar, Maya Jackson, Cameron Blodgett, Hayley Benes, Neli Kuznecki, Lily Mongeau, Violet Johnson, Maksymilian Bujala, Marcus DiTullio, Jake Martin, Faith Muga, Emily Macko, Lukas Barbosa, Faustyna Kicilinski, Adam Wozniak, Tenleigh Dowd, Mia Romeo, Sophia Bengtson, Jamarion Pierre, Carson Krajcik, Mia Reed, Oliver Smith, Renielys Rodriguez Garcia, Jazlun Montesinos, and Amalina Khozami, . In addition, school staff member Mr. John Hester and Seventh Grade instructor Mrs. Karen Lefebvre received flowers for having birthdays in September.
Following the announcement of September Birthdays, Saint Joseph School Principal, Mrs. Beth Boudreau, recognized the September “Students of the Month.” Students are awarded “Student of the Month” for their outstanding exemplification of Religion, Respect, and Responsibility. Saint Joseph School September “Students of the Month” are Pre-K 3-year-old (2-Day Program): Sophia Dowd, Pre-K 3-year-old (3-Day Program): Emy Corbin, Pre-K 4-year-old: Charlotte Tremblay, Kindergarten: Charlotte Marchand, Grade 1: Michaela Chege, Grade 2: Maria Berry, Grade 3: Cecilia Coan, Grade 4: Charlotte Dollar, Grade 5: Jacob Manzi, Grade 6: Kalleia Agosto, Grade 7: Luke Surowaniec, And Grade 8: Emily Macko.
During September, a Saint Joseph School student in each grade also had the opportunity to earn a special “Statue of Liberty Award” for being welcoming to new and returning friends. Those students were also recognized during the assembly. The recipients of the “Statue of Liberty Award” are Pre-K 3-year-old: Isabella Valenti and Elliette Nowicki, Pre-K 4-year-old: Vianna Addo, Kindergarten: Timmery Gibbons, Grade 1: Wrenna Shemansky, Grade 2: Lily Manning, Grade 3: Anna Wozniak, Grade 4: Kirollos Ibrahim, Grade 5: Odin Cowie, Grade 6: Jacob Lopez, Grade 7: Ayla Reed, and Grade 8: Molly Hachigian. The theme of each special award will change each month. The assembly culminated with fun games of musical chairs for students and teachers.
The monthly assemblies will continue throughout the year so students can be recognized for their accomplishments and allowed to compete in fun, friendly games that encourage teamwork and laughter. Please visit the school’s Facebook page to view the video of the assembly.
