Congratulations to St. Joseph School’s published poets!  Students in Mrs. Lefebvre’s Grade 6, 7, and 8 Language Arts classes recently entered their original poems in Creative Communication’s spring poetry contest. Poems are selected for publication based on their literary merit, creativity, or social significance.

This year 44 students will have their poetry published in the Spring 2018 edition of A Celebration of Poets:  Grade 6 – Matthew Krysinski, Wiktoria Potem, Shamer Martinez, Kyleigh Czechowski, Adrian Sobczak, Katrina Piekielniak, Roksana Chruslicka, Bridget Carrascal, Jillian Treveloni, Jack Dooner, Sara Grupposo, Daniel Gronek, Jordan Kippax, Toriana Baldassari, Jillian Edwards, Jacob Sirard, Kylie Berthiaume, Abigail Kibaru, Noalani Perez, Kristina Montione, and Tessa McCabe; Grade 7 – Morgan Royston, Joshua Njoroge, Jadyn Williams, Benjamin Duquette, Kaileigh Strong, Remonda Mankarios, Nicholas Fennelly, Kaeleigh Sullivan, Caroline Villa, Christopher Best, Alexandro Montreuil, and Julia Zdrok; Grade 8 – Seth Boudreau, Riley Peters, Julia Libuda, Elizabeth Walker, Elzbieta Gronek, Szymon Mamro, Olivia Duquette, Jacob Boynton, Emilia Pianka, Juliana Zalewski, and Benjamin Duval

St. Joseph School will be recognized in the anthology for receiving a “Writing Achievement Award.”  This honor is given to schools whose students’ entries to the Young Poets Contest are of exceptionally high merit.  This is the fourteenth Achievement Award St. Joseph School has received from Creative Communication since Mrs. Lefebvre’s classes began participating in the contest in 2002.  In addition, this is the highest number of poems selected for publication.
