On Monday, November 20th, the students, faculty, and staff of St. Joseph School continued one of their most important Thanksgiving traditions: the annual food drive. As the students began the holiday week, they joined together to give thanks for their many blessings as well as collect food for local families in need. Each class was responsible for bringing in items that would complete a Thanksgiving dinner. Younger students, including the three pre-kindergarten classes, contributed canned vegetables, while older students donated stuffing mix, gravy, cranberry sauce and potatoes. Turkeys were donated by the St. Joseph Basilica Knights of Columbus Council #12980. The food collection culminated with a prayer service led by Sr. Mary Ann Papiez’s Sixth Grade students.
